Forest Man still exists in Vietnam

One night 13 years ago in a forest - Prof. Vo Quy said - workers reported that
they heard a very distress wolf-cried, in panic, they fired couple of shots, that stopped
the cry only for a short time. The next morning workers discovered foot-prints that
one and a half times larger than normal. To date, the image of the forest man has
haunted me. Prof. Vo Quy is Director of the Environment and Resource Centre.
Assistant Prof. Tran Hong Viet, Teachers' College, insists that Forest man still exists in
Vietnam.

Still according to Prof. Vo Quy, in the beginning of 1974, he received
information about Forest man in the western area, he and a group of explorers went to
examine the region, and since then, he had explored almost every forest, every
village, but he only heard of stories either from the locals or forest workers, that one
could say, amazingly matched.

Forest man was described as a 1.8m tall, body cover with brown and black hair,
long fingers. There was an article of a true incident written by an English journalist:
The guerrillas seized a strange specie looked like a monkey (could be forest man) and
took back to Dak Min (Gia Lai province), the forest man didn't eat anything through the whole
journey, nor any kind of communication. A week later it was planned to return him to
the forest, but unfortunately he died before the plan was taking place.

Asst. Prof Tran Hong Viet, based on those had been examined, he had lots of
theories, analysed them carefully and came to a conclusion: it wasn't a specie that
exist millions years ago. Heuvelmans also stated that: this strange animal had to be
brought from Vietnam with the following explanation: in those days everything coming in
to the United States had to be declared and examined except from Vietnam (because of a
high number of American soldiers return to the States, their luggage did not have to
go through customs). Furthermore, Heuvelmans insisted that it came from a location
called Dac Nong, western region of Vietnam. It's worth mentioning that Heuvelmans's
description on this strange specie matched with the local's description on the forest
man. After 1975, Prof. Vo Quy had returned to Western region many times. Once
we came to an area reserved for researching Forest man, we were shown a picture of a
foot-print, 30cm in length and 20cm in width, the toes part was about 1/3 of the
length, examined the picture carefully, we saw lots of folds on the foot, Prof. Viet
said: "this belonged to a type of specie that lived in the forest, no doubt it belonged to
a forest man that we have been looking for." Prof. Vo Quy also said: "this was round
at the bottom of Moong Ray mountain, north-west of Kon Tum, where there are lots
of rumours about forest man."

Forest man still exist in Vietnam, therefore the search that was discontinued 25/6/82
(the time the foot-print of forest man was discovered) needs to be reconsidered.
Forest man is mankind's assets, one day, along with other deteriorations of living
condition, this invaluable assets may vanish.
