LOOFS-WISSONA Dear Dr. Loofs-Wissona: I sense your frustration in the matter of the Laotian Bigfoot and I assure you that I and many others have encountered the same problems from scientists in the USA,Canada, the UK and Russia, etc. You are not alone. Suggest you join the International Society of Cryptozoology where some fellow-travellers reside in the journal. I believe Graham Joyner of Aust. is a member. Also other Yowie people. I also have some difficult news for you. My own research in the field, over twenty years, has gradually brought me, kicking and screaming, over to the idea that the Bigfoot creatures (a better term)- here or in Laos, are not from our normal evolution and are outside of taxonomy. You will, of course, resist this, but after more years of fieldwork, you will come to see my point. Paranormal, or impossible, things happen to investigators and the BF exhibits impossible characteristics. In all countries.e.g.: 1) impossible weight causing impossibly deep tracks. 2) abilty, it would seem, to go invisible. 3) ability to subsist on a miniscule diet. 4) ability to read your mind. 5) ability to walk 6" above the ground - gliding.(sometimes only) 6) ability to not die when shot. 7) lack of any bones, anywhere, ever. 8) a seeming ability to shift shape from one type of animal to another. 9) failure to die accidentally - road-kill,etc. 10) ability to change track size and features as it goes. 11) appearance of strange extra images and faces in fur when photographed. 12) ability to communicate with kidnapees by telepathy. 13) inability to smash open flimsy doors and screens. 14) ability to evade the most sophisticated of traps and photo-traps. 15) ability to show up in parts and pieces in photos. Head only, head and torso, but also full-body. Other parts simply "not there" = not just hidden by bushes. 16) ability to make tracks in snow, etc, that start from nowhere, and end suddenly. (No backwards-walking...) 17) Ability to be seen by part of a group of people, but not be seen by others in the same group. 18) Ability to interact with ufos and to be in some, or by others. Please do not allow the term ufos to distress you. 19) Ability to make tracks and not be seen doing it, while doing it. 20) Ability to be seen walking in snow, but leaving no tracks. 21) more to be added later. I think this is a goodly list. I have experienced much of the above in person. I've seen the creatures three times, have photographed them when nothing was there to be seen, have found and followed miles and miles of tracks, have interviewed hundreds of persons who have seen them, and two abductees. Have seen, and photographed "unidentified objects in the air" (could be military). My fieldwork is long and intense, and I invite you to compare notes. If you wish for anthropological validation, let me advise you to save yourself much grief and sadness - and work with anomalies researchers. Standard science will always reject you. But with us, there is a home for your work. Sincerely, Jon Erik Beckjord, BA.MBA (UC Berk) Curator-Bigfoot Museum Project Box 9502,Berkeley,CA 94709 510-848-4070 davis@uccomputers.com
