THUMBNAIL | DESCRIPTION |
|
The most senior biologist in northern Vietnam is the late Professor Dao Van Tien.
Born in 1920, Professor Tien's fuenral in April 1995 was a sad, wet and cold day for
three generations of his students. Post colonial discussion in Vietnam starts
with Professor Tien.
One of Professor Tien's counterparts in (then) Saigon during the difficult period of war was Phung Trung Ngan who represented the Republic of Vietnam in the World Conservation Union (IUCN). I would like to know if it is possible to get photos of Prof Ngan and other important figures in conservation. I hope on this page to show other Vietnamese scientists, professionals and responsible people who are working for conservation. And show some of what they are doing to help solve these problems. |
