Ginninderra Press is particularly interested in publishing the writing of
authors with fresh, divergent voices whose work shows a significant degree
of social awareness and concern.
Using simple formats which maximise economy without compromising style or
attractiveness, Ginninderra Press has so far published books in the
following genres:
* poetry
* short fiction
* non-fiction (particularly in the areas of reading, education,
parenting and health and social issues)
* children's books (including picture books and short fiction for all
age levels up to adolescents).
Novel-length works cannot be accepted at present, though this may change in
future, especially if writers can be found who are willing to experiment
with unorthodox formats.
Manuscripts should be sent in clean hard-copy form and should be
accompanied by a stamped return envelope.
Poetry submitted for publication should combine social awareness, emotional
impact and arresting imagery.
Fiction (which, except by prior agreement, should be no longer than 15,000
words) must also be socially aware, combining its emotional impact with
convincing storytelling.
Non-fiction should address matters of social concern, especially in the
areas mentioned above.
Manuscripts for children's books are selected according to their vitality
and freshness and their likely appeal to their intended readers.
Catalogues of Ginninderra Press publications are available from PO Box 53,
Charnwood, ACT 2615 (please specify if it is children's books you are
interested in).
