"The RSPAS Print News" electronic journal (ISSN
1440-9127) was established 1 June 1998 by Ann Andrews and T. Matthew Ciolek to provide online summaries and
announcements of the latest print and/or electronic research
publications, including recently completed PhD theses, by members
of and visitors to the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, National Institute for Asia and the Pacific, The Australian National University,
Canberra.
The Journal, now discontinued due to new budgetary and staff arrangements at the Publishing, Distribution and Imaging (PDI), RSPAS, ANU was active between Jun 1998 and Feb 2004.
The 'RSPAS Print News' has formed an integral part of
Asian Studies WWW VL and
Pacific Studies WWW VL.
All 58 past issues of the RSPAS Print News journal are fully preserved and are available online.
Weekly announcements and contents' summaries which were published in the web edition of the Journal
were disseminated also on the network via a free access mailing list rspas-print-news.
That list is also discontinued and closed-down.
PLEASE NOTE: Plans for new online services
which will cover and extend the key functions of both the 'RSPAS Print News' journal
and the associated mailing list are now well advanced.
They should become operational sometimes in the 2nd half of Sep 2004.
