Sarasvati-Sindhu Civilization flourished for a millennium
circa 3000 B.C. along the two great rivers. The
Indus people, Vedic people (who lived on the Sarasvati)
and the Khetri people (who lived in the Maru desert)
coexisted for a millennium.

The MetaCrawler Multi-Threaded Web Search Service

The MetaCrawler is a free WWW search service. The
MetaCrawler differs from other services in that it doesn't maintain
any internal database. Rather, it sends your queries to nine
different services: Open Text, Alta Vista, Lycos, WebCrawler,
InfoSeek, Excite, Inktomi, Yahoo, and Galaxy.
The MetaCrawler organizes the results into a uniform format, and
displays them. With the MetaCrawler, the sorted list that is displayed
can be sorted by a number of different ways, such as locality, region,
and organization.

Life in a Vietnamese Gang

From 1990-1993, Nick Rothenberg and Ahrin Mishan collaborated on a
documentary film exploring the life of a Vietnamese refugee and gang
member. The film is based on field research begun during their
graduate studies at the Center for Visual Anthropology, University of

Sundance Film Festival in 1994, and has gone on to win 7 U.S. and
International awards.

Easter Island Expedition

Description of a multipdisciplinary expedition to
Easter Island carried out during September 1995. The
project implemented for the first time an internet
link to a remote expedition site. Activities included
amateur radio, marine biology, and computer science
onsite. A team of 32 persons spent 3 weeks on Easter
Island and on Salas y Gomez, 200 miles to the east.
