Self-description: "The canonical scripture of Bon is contained in the Bon Kagyur and Tengyur (or 'Katen'). Whereas the Kagyur is the basic work on our philosophy, containing all teachings of Buddha Tonpa Sheurab, the founder of Bon religion. In the Tengyur teachings on all the topics of the Kagyur (i.e. Sutra, Tantra, DzogChen, Medicine, Astrology, Arts & Crafts, Linguistics, etc.) are collected, as they were given by the most famous teachers and fully realized disciples of our tradition."

Self-description: "The Prange Collection is the most comprehensive collection of Japanese-language materials dating from the Allied Occupation of Japan, 1945-1952. The Collection comprises virtually everything published on all subjects during the first four years of the Occupation, 1945-1949; it includes books, pamphlets, newspapers, periodicals, and related archival materials. The holdings of the Collection are vast and extremely rare and cover virtually all subject areas.
