Mojikyo (aka Konjaku Mojikyo, the 'Mirror of characters of old and new
days'), is a new approach to handling Chinese characters on personal
computers. "Mojikyo [utilises] TrueType fonts for the Japanese version
of Windows (95/98 or NT) [as well as Macintosh OS, and (shortly) for TeX - ed.] containing up
to 80,000 characters (all the Chinese characters in the Dictionary of
Morohashi are there; there are also many Vietnamese, Korean, 'Oracle
Bone' (kookotsu-bun) and Siddham characters), and [...a] finding
program, which allows to retrieve easily characters [... with unknown]
pronounciation, etc. [...]. Mojikyo is also an open system, meaning
that it is possible to add any number of new characters [...]. The
users [...] can report new characters; [and] new TrueType fonts for
these [supplementary] characters will be provided by the Mojikyo
Institute.
