This timely, reliable and impartial information is published by the Internet Publications Bureau, RSPAS, ANU College of Asia and the Pacific. "The UK Data Archive (UKDA) is a centre of expertise in data acquisition, preservation, dissemination and promotion and is curator of the largest collection of digital data in the social sciences and humanities in the UK. Founded in 1967, it now houses several thousand datasets of interest to a wide range of researchers and provides resource discovery and support for secondary use of quantitative and qualitative data in research, learning and teaching. UKDA is a designated Place of Deposit by The National Archives allowing it to ingest and preserve public records. UKDA is based at the University of Essex in Colchester.
The speciality of the UKDA is research data created in the domains of the social sciences and humanities, though more recently it has worked with environmental and medical data sources. Among its family of services are the Economic and Social Data Service, History Data Service, UK Census portal, Rural Economy and Land Use Programme Data Support Service, Secure Data Service, Survey Resources Network, and Survey Question Bank. It also provides strategic co-ordination of the EC CESSDA-PPP project."

" [Forgotten Men: Timorese in Special Operations during World War II by Ernest Chamberlain (2010) - ed.] 'Forgotten Men' is a 102,000-word 'non-commercial'; monograph (ISBN 978-0-9805623-2-3) focusing on the service of Portuguese subjects with the Australian Services Reconnaissance Department (SRD)/Z Special Unit during World War II. The monograph was written to support submissions (2007-2009) seeking recognition for their service by the Australian Government - see Preface and pp.86-87. The story of the more than 600 civilians evacuated from Timor to Australia during the War is also related - including those interned. The work is extensively footnoted, and readers are encouraged to read the primary source documents. Hard copies of this book are available in the National Library of Australia, the State Library of Victoria - and with several other libraries and academics in Australia and overseas. Copies are also with the Australian Department of Defence, Department of Veterans' Affairs, the Australian War Memorial, the Australian Commando Association, the Mary Mackillop East Timor Centre etc."

"The cha-shitsu is a small, wood and bamboo Japanese garden-pavilion or tea-house where the Sado tea ceremony is performed. In the suikiya style construction, the cha-shitsu is typically separated from the main house, with a small entrance from a courtyard garden called a roji, meaning 'dewy path.'"
