"The Asian Studies WWW Monitor" (ISSN 1329-9778) was established 21 April 1994. The journal, a pioneering and the only publication of this kind in the world, provides daily abstracts and reviews of new/updated online resources of significance to research, teaching and communications dealing with Asian Studies. It is published by the Internet Publications Bureau, RSPAS, National Institute for Asia and the Pacific, ANU. The periodical forms a key element of the global, cooperative project Asian Studies WWW Virtual Library. For further details see a page About the Asian Studies WWW Monitor. The journal is complemented by its sister publication Pacific Studies WWW Monitor which was established in April 2000.

Supplied-note: "Aardvark, Asia's Web resource for librarians, is linking to databases made in Asia or about Asia. By the end of August, 154 databases had been named, described and linked to. They cover all aspects of human endeavour including agriculture, law, botany and medicine. Other new features on Aardvark include the education database ERIC on the iGroup's eBridge platform, and links to many library schools in the Asia-Pacific region. Since its debut on the Web earlier this year Aardvark has grown to more than 2,500 links including 910 Asian universities, 103 preprint archives, 594 library science ejournals (the biggest on the Web), 146 Asian databases (the only list on the Web), 130 conferences (25 in Asia), 252 publishers and so on. Ten links are added each day - cw."
