The journal is complemented by its sister publication Pacific Studies WWW Monitor which was established in April 2000.

An international conference hosted by the School of Hawaiian, Asian and Pacific Studies to be held at the University of Hawai'i, 2-5 December 2002. The conference seeks to remake Asia Pacific studies around curriculum that reflects movements of people and ideas across boundaries, as well as the complexities of global-local relations. It considers the changing relationship between knowledge and power in Asia Pacific scholarship, and explores new pedagogies that establish more equitable relations with studied communities. Paper proposals due 30th August. Remaking Asia Pacific Studies is the capstone conference of the Moving Cultures project, funded by Ford Foundationís Crossing Borders initiative.
