"The Asian Studies WWW Monitor" (ISSN 1329-9778) was established 21 April 1994. It is published by the Internet Publications Bureau, RSPAS, National Institute for Asia and the Pacific, ANU. The periodical forms a key element of the global, cooperative project Asian Studies WWW Virtual Library. For further details see a page About the Asian Studies WWW Monitor. The journal is complemented by its sister publication Pacific Studies WWW Monitor which was established in April 2000.

[...] a three year project to tell the story of the internment camps that were located in Arkansas during World War II. [...] As the eastern most camps, Jerome and Rohwer (Arkansas) have virtually been ignored. This project will place the Arkansas camps in context with what occurred on the West Coast. It will also examine the relationship between the citizens of Arkansas and the Japanese-Americans as well as the effect the camps had on both."
