Tibetan Buddhist Resources Center (TBRC)
Bodhi Foundation, Austin, TX, USA
Supplied note: "The TBRC database (archive of Tibetan biographical and bibliographical data) and search engine is now open on-line to the public at [the URL below]."
Self-description: "The TBRC catalog tracks two basic types of entity: Works and People. The collection of Works includes (but is not limited to) books and pecha. The collection of People includes the authors of the Works in the TBRC collection, and more: the TBRC database also tracks biographical information about many historical figures who did not write anything (or whose writings do not appear in the TBRC holdings). Thus, the TBRC catalog is more than just a simple library catalog. It also tracks a variety of important data related to biography, lineage, and history."

Snow Lion Publications
Snow Lion Publications, Ithaca, NY, USA
Self-description: "A press [est. 1980] devoted to the preservation of Tibetan Buddhism and culture. The original idea was to present translations from all the schools of Tibetan Buddhism and to publish academic as well as popular titles. The editors were particularly interested in publishing monastic textbooks from the various traditions. The first manuscripts offered were primarily from Glenn Mullin, Jeffrey Hopkins, and his students at the University of Virginia, the foremost academic program in the West for Tibetan Buddhist studies. [Since then] Snow Lion has gone on to become the largest press devoted to Tibetan Buddhism, having published over 150 titles on Tibet and Tibetan Buddhism (printing over one million copies) and distributing over 500 titles published by other presses. In addition, Snow Lion distributes hundreds of video- and audio tapes of teachings by Tibetan lamas [and other materials] connected to Tibetan culture."
