Works listed deal wholly or in part with these changes. Unpublished reports from universities and research centres, as well as government publications, are included. Nearly all publications were published in the 1970s or 1980s. Useful list of Balinese names and honorifics is included.

Evaluation: Though increasingly outdated, the bibliography remains a valuable contribution to a subject which continues to be of a topic of concern as the influence of tourism on Bali has an impact on the agriculture of the island. "...[T]he bibliography is far from perfect" (Introduction). Could have been improved with the inclusion of an author index.
