Coverage: Describes in detail the 589 manuscripts in the "Merapi-Merbabu" collection in the National Library of Indonesia. The collection originated in the 18thC on the slopes of Mt. Merbabu in Central Java. It consists mainly of pre-Islamic manuscripts in Javanese and Sanskrit. An Introduction describes the contents and makes reference to an even more detailed description of the manuscripts in Bijdragen tot de taal-, land- en volkenkunde 2001.
