Coverage: An annotated catalogue of the National Library of Indonesia's collection of antique books, referred to as "star" material. Most of the works are pre-Independence and are in Dutch, English, French or German. Many contain illustrations and are folio size. (It is said that the physical condition of many of the works is precarious). Not all titles are on Indonesia, but those that are cover a wide variety of topics including geography, architecture, social life and customs, natural science and art.
