Coverage: Lists reports held in the National Archives of Indonesia concerning the political and commercial situation in various parts of the archipelago between early 18thC and the end of the 19thC. Most of the reports are in Dutch, but several are in English (particularly during the British occupation of the Moluccas at the turn of the 18thC).
No. of items: Approximately 150.
Structure: Revised edition of earlier 1973 publication. Arranged by the place about which the reports are written. Title of report (usually in Dutch), or bundle of reports, provided, together with an archives number. Description of the format/physical dimensions of the report(s) and a description of the contents given in Indonesian.
Evaluation: Very useful tool for accessing these rare historical documents. Handy format, especially for overseas researchers.
