This is an important
site for any Australians wanting to pursue under-graduate or post-graduate
study, or intensive language training, in Indonesia!
"ACICIS is a consortium
of Australian universities which includes as members most of the country's
leading institutions in the field of Indonesian studies."
IALF has schools in
Jakarta, Surabaya and Denpasar. It is established under a memorandum of
understanding between the Governments of Australia and Indonesia to provide
Indonesian and English language services. IALF offers 2 week intensive
beginners courses and 10 week courses up to advanced intermediate level
in Indonesian, as well as English programs and translation services.

A practical site with
exercises on several themes and explicit grammar lessons. The pop-up windows
giving English versions of Indonesian text are an excellent feature.
This has potential
to be one of the best resource sites, but currently consists of only one
unit with eight activities on transportation. It is intended to be used
in conjunction with the Australian produced TIFL (Teaching Indonesian as
a Foreign Language) level 1 materials.
