"The International Small Islands Studies Association (ISISA) welcomes you to ISLANDS OF THE WORLD VIII - an international conference, to be held at Kinmen Island (Quemoy), Taiwan, between 1 and 7 November, 2004. The conference, entitled 'Changing Islands - Changing Worlds' is [since 1986 - ed.] the eighth in a series of island conferences. [...] In 2004, it is Kinmen Island's turn to host the ISISA conference. All scholars and practitioners with an interest in islands are invited to attend.

* 2004 June 20 - Deadline for Abstract Submission
* July 10 - Notification of Acceptance of Abstracts
* August 31 - Early-Bird Registration
* September 20 - Submission of Manuscripts."
