"The Ghent Centre for Buddhist Studies (GCBS) was founded in 2007 at Ghent University, within the Department of Languages and Cultures of South and East Asia [http://www.southandeastasia.ugent.be/] as the first academic centre for Buddhist studies in Belgium. [...] The GCBS puts a strong emphasis on cooperation with other institutions. Bilateral agreements and Socrates programs have been established with our partners the Chung Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies [http://www.chibs.edu.tw/], the Dharma Drum Buddhist College DDBC [http://www.ddbc.edu.tw/zh/] (both Taiwan), the Center for Buddhist Studies at the University of Hamburg [http://www.buddhismuskunde.uni-hamburg.de/index.php?id=3&L=1] and The Oslo Buddhist Studies Forum at the University of Oslo [http://folk.uio.no/christoa/index_forum]."
