"We would like to bring to your attention several resources that have been developed or compiled by the Shao Center [i.e. at Dr. Shao You Bao Overseas Chinese Documentation and Research Center at Ohio University - ed.] for both the WCILCOS website [i.e. the World Confederation of Institutes and Libraries for Chinese Overseas Studies (WCILCOS) http://www.overseaschineseconfederation.org/main/index.php] and for the Shao Center website, which we hope will aid your research and documentation work.
These databases are for public sharing, and are aimed at improving public access to resources in the field. They are collaborative projects involving the members of the community. They are currently in a beta stage, being work-in-progress and constantly having to be updated. Some might be incomplete or have duplicates, but we are working to correct and to update them.
When using some of the databases, please refer to the instructions if they are available, for more efficient usage. We are still trying to improve these resources, and hope for your comments and suggestions. They shall be duly recognized.
