"The Japan Publications Guide Service (JPGS) collects and catalogs information on currently available English books, periodicals, other publications and information products that are published in, on, or for Japan and East/Southeast Asia. Countries and territories covered include: Cambodia, China, East Timor, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pacific Islands, Philippines, Russian Far East, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam. Publications listed by the JPGS include those from commercial publishers, associations, university presses, government agencies, small and vanity publishers, individuals and other sources. Unpriced publications and those with limited or restricted circulation may be included. Discontinued titles are kept in the database for several years or until there is no longer any interest in them."
