Carribean Studies and Black and Asian History (CASBAH)
The Institute of Commonwealth Studies, London, UK
Self-description: "Welcome to CASBAH, a pilot web site for research resources relating to Caribbean Studies and the history of Black and Asian peoples in the UK. You can use this web site to search and browse the CASBAH database and to view the full text survey reports. [...]
The database contains information from a UK-wide sample of relevant archive, printed and audio-visual resources held in academic, public and special libraries and repositories. The project reports provide detailed information on CASBAH's pilot and regional surveys and present guidelines devised by CASBAH on conducting surveys and subject indexing in these subject areas. [...] CASBAH was a demonstrator project [active Jan 1999 - July 2002 - ed.], hosted by the Institute of Commonwealth Studies and with the work completed, all members of the project team have moved on to new challenges elsewhere."
