Netaji [Subhas Chandra Bose] Research Bureau, Calcutta
Netaji Research Bureau, Calcutta, West Bengal, India
Self-description:
"Netaji Bhawan, Calcutta, where the museum, archives and library of Netaji Research Bureau [The NRB, founded by Dr Sisir Kumar Bose in 1957 - ed.] are located is the ancestral house of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose [1897-1945] owned and managed by the Bureau. Netaji is regarded as a national hero in India and widely respected in the whole of Asia for his struggle and sacrifice for the liberation of India and all Asian peoples and the establishment of an international order based on justice, friendship and cooperation. The house is a national shrine and visited by thousands of Indians and many Asians all the year round. It is thus the right place in the whole of Eastern India to be developed into a world-class international institute for promoting political, economic and cultural cooperation in Asia."
