[...] At the JSA Annual Conferences since 1995, refereed papers have been presented in multiple sessions by faculty from a wide array of institutions including community colleges, state universities, liberal arts colleges and research universities. Papers presented at the conference often appear in the Association's refereed journal, Japan Studies Association Journal. [...] JSA offers Graduate Student scholarships for as many as five selected graduate students who have proposals accepted for presentation at the annual conference.
