Kyrgyzstan: Revolution Revisited
www.eurasianet.org, Open Society
Institute, New York, NY, US
Supplied note:
"In 'My Story,' visitors to the website can watch audio-photo
narratives recorded with ordinary citizens throughout Kyrgyzstan as
they describe what has changed in their lives since the ouster of
President Askar Akayev. Site viewers can also grade the current
government on how well it has met its policy promises in seven key
categories, or select what they would consider to be the best policy
choices for fighting corruption in areas ranging from higher education
to the justice system. Alternative proposals for change from Kyrgyz
civil society can be heard or read in 'Voices,' while a video-enhanced
timeline provides detailed coverage of events since the revolution.
Kyrgyzstan: Revolution Revisited was prepared on-site by a team of
local reporters and photographers, with the participation of a project
producer and photo editor in Bishkek.
