Dear Our Colleagues:
We are happy to announce the First Philippine Studies Conference of
Japan (PSCJ) to be held in Tokyo [in Tokyo Green Palace Hotel, Ichigaya, Tokyo - ed.] on November 11-12, 2006. This
conference, the first to be held under the initiative of more than a
dozen scholars in Japan specializing on the study of the Philippines,
in conjunction with the International Committee on Philippine Studies
Conferences will revolve around the theme of new dimensions in
Philippine studies in Japan. More specifically, the conference hopes
to address the similarities and differences that both Japan and the
Philippines have shown in the historical and current global context. - yn."
