Asia Policy Point (APP)
AAP, Washington, DC, USA.
Supplied note:
"JIAP Becomes ASIA POLICY POINT [...]
(formerly Japan Information Access Project, JIAP).
As of January 2006, the Japan Information Access Project (JIAP) will change its operational name to Asia Policy Point (APP). But don't worry, the name has changed, but we will remain the expert's resource and think tank on Asia.
We believe that Asia Policy Point better reflects what we are: the source for a multi-dimensional understanding of U.S. policy toward an inter-dependent, contemporary Asia. In operating terms, we will continue to provide you with unbiased, factual information about Asia and will continue to show you innovative perspectives on the region.
Japan will remain a central point of our activities and JIAP will continue as an internal program of AAP. All of our contact information remains the same. [...] Get the facts at: http://www.jiaponline.org - Asia Policy Point HQ"
[In Mar 2001 the JIAP site had the AS WWW Monitor 3-star (Useful resource) rating; and the 5-star (Essential resource) rating in Jan 2003. An updated rating for the AAP
site will be provided by the Monitor in the near future - ed.]
