Cross-Border issues in Central Asia - a mailing list
unknown publisher, USA
Supplied note: "A new, relatively restricted, email list is being created for practioners in
Central Asia to discuss issues related to cross-border donor programs. The list
will focus on customs, immigration and customs harmonization programs. At the
present time, the EU, the World Bank, the Eurasia Foundation, the IOM and
several aid contractors have representatives who will participate in this list.
List members should be practioners or donors in this area and will include
representatives from the donor community, governments of the region and
academics who can help provide insight about ongoing or proposed projects in
this area. The list will be a low-volume one but members may receive some
attachments. Again, this list is going to be for practioners and not for people
simply interested in the subject.
If you are interested in joining this list, please email David Mikosz at
dmikosz[use"@"]worldbank.org.
Please also include your organizational affiliation and what work you are doing
in cross-border programs. For the purposes of this list, cross border work
means any border work between Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan,
Turkmenistan and Uzbekstan or trade with any of these countries and Russia,
China, Afghanistan and Iran.
