"Considering the history of communications mountain Pass in High Asia seems to be the most important geographic feature.
Linking worlds, countries and people Passes are the silent witnesses of trading caravans, military marches, scientific expeditions,
local migrations and trekking achievements. [...]
The database is being developed under the study of the trade and caravan routes and their evolution in Central and Inner Asia. The project is in its initial phase.[...] By today the database accounts for about 580 entries."
