Supplied note: "'Asian Law Online' is the first online bibliographic database [created: 1 Jan 1998, launched: 19 Sep 2002 - ed.] of Asian law materials in the world. Offered to the public as a free service to assist students and scholars of Asian legal systems, it is a collection of English language materials on Asian laws available throughout the world and includes books, chapters in books, journal articles and theses.
The database is organised according to countries in East Asia and a selection of basic legal areas. The database can be searched for any word or a more specific advanced search can be conducted. The database is also linked to a list of useful websites for each country and legal area. This database is the result of five years research by the Asian Law Centre and has been supported by grants from the Australian Research Council and its sponsors. - kt."
