Call for Papers for Workshop on Migration and Health in Asia, 21-23 May
2003
The Asian MetaCentre is organising a 3-day workshop on Migration and
Health in Asia on 21-23 May 2003 to be held in Singapore-Bintan. The
workshop will focus on the relationship between 'migration' and 'health'
in the context of Asia, along themes such as, conceptions of health
meanings across different diasporas in Asia; differential access to
health and social services among migrants and locals; differential
health status among migrants and non-migrants populations; illegal
migration and health issues; gender, body politics and health needs
The organisers invite submissions of abstracts of about 500 words, or
full length papers, and full curriculum vitae. Interested applicants may
apply for limited funding to attend the workshop, which will be awarded
on a competitive basis for the best abstracts selected.
