"Friday college is a grassroots initiative that holds weekly community forums on topical issues
in the southern Thai city of Haat Yai. Speakers from all walks of life convene to discuss issues of national import
(eg. educational reform) or more local concerns (pollution in the Songkhla basin). The site holds
articles from many of the sessions over the last few years, links to other Thai NGOs, information
on the Thai-Malaysian gas pipeline issue and more. Fridaycollege.org is a unique opportunity
to gaze into debates within civil society in southern Thailand. A Thai language site. - pk."
