The conference interrogates the form and consequence of cultural
encounters between nations and religions in the current troubled
global political context. It brings together speakers from a variety
of backgrounds and nationalities. In particular, a delegation from
Turkey will discuss that country's role as a cultural frontier between
Islam and the West."
