Self-description "The Pakistani American Association is a non-political, non-sectarian, cultural and social organization [est. 1987] that strives to promote the presence of the people from Pakistan living in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Our mission is to provide cultural and social interaction for the families and individuals of the Pakistani community and to offer a variety of programs and services to its members. We have several events during the year, including special events for both the Eids, Iftar party during Ramadan, Pakistan Day (August 14th) celebrations, picnics and other musical and social events every year. This allows us to introduce and demonstrate our cultural heritage to our children and members of our community."
