Public History Program, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Little Rock, AR, USA
Supplied note:
"Historical Project: 'The Japanese-American Experience During World War
II: Telling the Story of a Forgotten Chapter in Arkansas History.'
[...] a three year project to tell the story of the internment
camps that were located in Arkansas during World War II. [...] As the eastern most camps, Jerome and Rohwer (Arkansas)
have virtually been ignored. This project will place the Arkansas
camps in context with what occurred on the West Coast. It will also
examine the relationship between the citizens of Arkansas and the
Japanese-Americans as well as the effect the camps had on both."
