Self-description: "International Conference on the Long-Term Environmental
Consequences of the Vietnam War Stockholm, 26-28 July 2002. [...It aims]
to develop a sort of encyclopaedia covering all environmental impacts of the Vietnam
War and their long-term consequences. To the extent that resources permit, the consequences
for Laos and Cambodia will also be considered. [...] It is anticipated that most of the work on the
final report will have been completed in advance of the conference. To carry out that work,
subcommittees will be established for each of the following main areas:
* ecosystems; * public health; * economic and social impacts; * ethical, legal and policy issues."
