Supplied note:
"The portal serves as a 'one-stop shop' of specifically crafted information
and analysis on human security issues in Central Asia necessary for informed
debate and policy-making.
[...] Registration (free of charge) is required. [...]
The portal provides a searchable database of links to critical reference
materials, maps, regional and international news sources on the region, as
well as easy access to information on organizations and specialists active
in the field. To date, there are over 1,500 articles in the portal's
database. The portal also features HPCR's policy briefs, which aim to
develop alternative strategies and policy recommendations to address the
sources of insecurity in the region. As of January 2002, the Harvard Program
produced three policy briefs, respectively on internal displacement in
Afghanistan, the role of Islam in shaping the future of Afghanistan, and the
challenges of reconstruction - all available on the portal."
