Supplied note: "VASI 2002: Advanced Vietnamese Abroad June 20-August 16, 2002. Applications for the Vietnamese Advanced Summer Institute (VASI) are now available. VASI is an advanced summer program, held each year in Hanoi and is funded through the US DOE Fulbright-Hays Summer Programs, as well as the Ford and Luce Foundations. At the time of application, applicants must have taken two years of Vietnamese (or the equivalent) or be in their second year. Also, applicants must be enrolled in a degree program (sophomore level or above) or be employed as teachers/education administrators.
