"The Observatory of Tibet and Central Asia is a new Research Center
recently established by Barcelona University to study the
Civilizations of Tibet, Mongolia and Turkic Republics in Central Asia
through research and teaching. We have focused on two main research
lines: Nomad traditions, Tibetan Literature, and the biography and
works of the XV c. Catalan traveller, Antoni de Montserrat (author of
the first map of the Himalaya)."
