Self-description: "Bangladesh Friendship Education Society (BFES) is a non-government development organization based in Bangladesh. It has been established in 1993 with a view to support education projects in rural areas. The Founders are basically educationists and development practitioners. Its principal partner Japan Friendship Education Fund (JFEF) based in Mito City of Japan supports the BFES. The other partners are so far - Government of Japan, AusAid, and the Royal Netherlands Government."
