Supplied note: "The 2001 National Thai Studies Centre Update will be held on the 26th and 27th of April at the Coombs Lecture Theatre at the Australian National University, Canberra. The Thai Update 2001 will be on a defence and strategic theme. Some of the topics covered will be developments in the Thai military, Thailand's strategic outlook, Thailand and its borders, peacekeeping exercises, Thailand and Australia, and Thai views on a range of regional strategic questions. Speakers will include senior Thai generals, parliamentarians and academics as well as a range of Australian officials and academics."
