Self-description: "The Varnamala emerged as a non-profit literary-cultural Society in January 1988. It brought out Varnamala: A Journal of Creativity, an occasional print-medium publication in bilingual (English-Hindi) edition. Noted Indian poets writing in various major Indian languages including Indian-English have been the contributors.
