Self-decsription:
"The website supports a multi-year project that seeks to expand research
into Sino-Japanese conflict between 1931 and 1945 by promoting
cooperation among scholars and institutions in China, Japan, the United
States, and other nations. An initial planning conference was held in
Tokyo in January 2000. The summary report from this meeting provides
