Supplied note: "The TBRC database (archive of Tibetan biographical and
bibliographical data) and search engine is now open on-line to the
public at [the URL below]."
Self-description: "The TBRC catalog tracks two basic types of entity:
Works and People. The collection of Works includes (but is not limited
to) books and pecha. The collection of People includes the authors of
the Works in the TBRC collection, and more: the TBRC database also
tracks biographical information about many historical figures who did
not write anything (or whose writings do not appear in the TBRC
holdings). Thus, the TBRC catalog is more than just a simple library
catalog. It also tracks a variety of important data related to
biography, lineage, and history."
