HKUST Library Pinyin Conversion Project

Supplied note: "The HKUST Library is pleased to announce that the computer
programs we have developed for converting the Wade-Giles romanization to
Pinyin in our bibliographic records are now being offered for other libraries to
use. The computer programs and detailed instructions can be found on the
Library Web site at [the URL below]. Along with the main conversion
program, there are also a few useful utility programs, explanations on the
rules used, and an account of our conversion project. We hope by sharing this
information, our experiences will be of use to other libraries which are
planning for their conversion."
