"Padma Bhushan [aka] Sharan Rani [= 'Queen of Sarod'] is a leading sarod
player, a difficult fretless instrument in North Indian Classical
Music. She has performed for over 6 decades on concert platform and
has done extensive research in the origin and antiquity of Sarod
through studies of Indian paintings and sculpture. She has donated
over 300 rare musical instruments to the National Museum, Delhi which
are kept in the 'Sharan Rani Gallery of Musical Instruments'."
