Travel in Caucasus mailing list
www.onelist.com, USA
Self-description: "Travel discussion list for people interested in
travel within the Transcaucasian Republics of Armenia, Azerbaijan and
Georgia, and the North Caucasus region (Krasnodar Kray, Stavropol
Kray, Dagestan, Adygea, Karachay-Cherkassia, Kabardino-Balkaria, North
Ossetia, Ingushetia and Chechenya) of the Russian Federation, as well
as surrounding regions such as Eastern Turkey, Azarbayjan Provinces of
Iran, and Kalmykia and Rostov and Astrakhan Oblasts of the Russian
Federation."
[New and apparently unmoderated discussion group. No exchanges have
been archived so far. Another related (an unpopulated so far) list on
the system is http://www.onelist.com/viewarchive.cgi?listname=oxiana,
which aims to deal with travel in Central Asia, specifically
Afghanistan, Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and
Uzbekistan. The recent proliferation of freely hosted general access specialist
mailing lists may be influenced by the www.onelist.com reward
scheme (aka e-pimping) where hundreds of dollars are paid to a person
who sets up a list dispatching more than one message a week (embellished
with commercial advertisements) to more than 500 subscribers - ed.]
