Hong Kong Diary 1997-present
Sage Colleges, Albany, NY, USA
Self-description:
"Inspired by Derk Bodde's 'Peking Diary 1948-1949', 'The Hong Kong
Diary' was originally conceived by Steven Leibo, co-founder of H-ASIA
[H-Net list for Asian History and Culture (h-asia@h-net.msu.edu) -
ed.], as a way to document life in Hong Kong during the transition to
mainland control. During the early spring of 1997 Josephine Khu, an
historian living in Hong Kong [where she is a Visiting Scholar at the
Centre of Asian Studies, Hong Kong University - ed.], agreed to take
on the project."
