"Read the latest election [scheduled for 30 May 1999] news from Armenia and
also about the numerous political parties and bloc alignments
campaigning for seats. Substantial background information is
also provided, as are copies of pertinent electoral legislation.
Materials for the site have been collected and prepared by
researchers at the Center for Policy Analysis at the American
University of Armenia. With elections coming up in Georgia,
Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan this fall,
the Project on Central Eurasia will continue to provide in-depth
web-based coverage."
